STUDY TOUR TO A CUTTING-EDGE TIRE MANUFACTURING FACILITY

On the day before the start of conference proceedings, delegates to ARC 2008 can opt to go for a factory visit to the Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. (YTPI) located at the Clark Special Economic Zone. YTPI manufactures passenger car and sports utility vehicles tires for export markets in Europe, Middle East and ASEAN countries.
Delegates will have the opportunity to learn about the intricate processes involved in the manufacture of quality tires using the latest technology in machineries and observe the plant’s well designed layout. During the tour, delegates will gain an understanding on the different uses and application of processed rubber that form the essential parts of tires. On top of that, everyone can also observe the effective implementation of the JIT concept starting from ordering of raw materials up to the delivery of tires to the customers.
The plant tour program will last for 1 and 1/2 hours, which will include a presentation on the YTPI, a tour of the company’s plant and a Q&A session. After this tour program, everyone will have a better comprehension on rubber’s major role in our day to day life and the importance for it to be used wisely and disposed of properly.
EXPLORE INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN CLARK FREEPORT ZONE

A keynote luncheon on “Investment Opportunities in Clark Freeport Zone” will be hosted by Clark Development Corporation (CDC). CDC is the administrator of Clark Freeport Zone. The zone covers over 33,000 hectares of prime land located in Central Luzon. Clark’s location is highly strategic and unique that it was home to the American military largest air base outside of the US Mainland until their pullout in 1991.
Clark revolves around the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA), a sprawling 2,500 hectare aviation complex. Developed to be a premier global air transport hub, DMIA will be equipped with multi-modal linkages with support transport/dryport that will provide fast, convenient and reliable access to suppliers catering to both local and global markets.
Clark’s strategic location right at the heart of growing markets in the Asia-Pacific region and its modern infrastructure facilities, generous fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, professional support services, amenities, and other advantages make it an ideal place for foreign investors to set up business.
WELCOME COCKTAIL RECEPTION

ARC 2008 Welcome Cocktail Reception will once again provide conference delegates with an invaluable opportunity to network with all speakers and other participants to exchange views as well as update themselves on the latest developments in the rubber industry. It is also an opportune time to renew friendships, forge stronger business alliances and establish new networks with delegates from the world over.
ARC 2008 GALA DINNER
